Junior High Education in Campbell

From 6 th to 8 th grade, students are discovering their long-term academic interests, building their unique social identities, and establishing lifelong habits in their learning. Through this time, students are highly capable of taking on significant academic challenges, though they are also facing the emotional and mental hurdles of transitioning out of adolescence. At Campbell Christian Junior High School, we are sensitive to the special needs and incredible talents of middle school aged students, which has allowed us to design an effective and rigorous curriculum that prepares students for great accomplishments in high school, college, and beyond. With a faith-based perspective in everything we do, we provide students with a complete education in academics, spirituality, and community service.

CCS Junior High Curriculum

We have dedicated numerous resources to our junior high curriculum, which follows Common Core standards while promoting critical thinking skills and creativity in every student. Below, you’ll get a closer look at our academic standards for our junior high students.

  • Exceptional criteria – Our curriculum is carefully created by our faculty and administrators with the help of an independent university professor, who writes the curriculum guide to ensure the highest-quality education for our students. We strive to continuously ratify our curriculum to remain current and keep students prepared for every new challenge ahead.
  • Strong core subjects – We place a strong emphasis on Science, Math, and Technology to meet the national demand for students prepared for higher education in STEM fields. We also provide our students with great language skills with detailed writing instruction and reading assignments that expand their critical thinking capacity.
  • Bible education – Because we are a Christian school, we maintain a spiritual education for our students with daily devotionals in homeroom along with regular Chapel programs throughout the school year.

Enrichment and Electives

To create a well-rounded educational experience in junior high, students are able to choose from elective courses while taking required enrichment courses that emphasize technology, movement, and writing skills. With the availability of electives and athletic programs, students are able to put their energy to good use as they enjoy social experiences and continue to discover their God-given talents.

Campbell Christian Schools offer programs for students from infancy to 8 th grade with accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the Association of Christian Schools International. We have been in the Campbell community since 1967, though we continue to evolve to meet the changing needs of our students and their families.
